From the austere abbey of the monks of Follina, we will arrive at the ancient mill straight out of a book of fairy tales, and we will be accompanied along the way by food and wine delights and why not, a glass of one of the most famous Italian products in the world.

Let's start our adventure with a visit to Follina

The name of the village derives from a practice developed by the monks: the "fulling" of the wool, as the processing of the latter was very widespread thanks to the abundance of pastures and waterways, extending up to the Alpago.
Impossible not to visit the magnificent Cistercian Abbey of Santa Maria, which houses precious pieces of mosaic art, preserves its enchanting original cloister from 1268 intact, and also includes the Lombard-style basilica and bell tower.

A bite for lunch

Once our desire for art and culture has been well satiated, it is time to satiate our stomachs too, for a lunch dedicated to local raw materials and typical dishes.
We recommend the pasta of the Osteria dei Mazzeri is one of the delights of traction, with "poor" ingredients and strictly homemade! To taste the seasonal risotto with Treviso radicchio, pumpkin tortelli in fondue or the famous "pasta e fasoi", all fresh dishes with seasonal ingredients.

What to absolutely see around here

Did you know that hidden a few kilometers from Refrontolo, among the Prosecco hills, there is an enchanted place which in 1977 was the setting for the film 'Mogliamante' with Marcello Mastroianni and Laura Antonelli?
We are talking about the Molinetto della Croda, one of the most evocative corners of the Marca Trevigiana, a bulwark of rural architecture from the 17th century which was built directly on the rock or "croda" of the mountain.

This four-century-old building is framed between the water of the Lierza torrent waterfall and the mountain, giving us one of the most evocative and romantic glimpses of the fairy-tale landscapes of Italy.

Finally dinner

After experiencing a beautiful fairy tale at sunset, it's time to end our day with a dinner worthy of the Prosecco road!
We therefore go to the Tre Panoce restaurant, completely immersed in the vineyards, where the Venetian tradition is not just recipes and ingredients, but a real philosophy of research and innovation in food and wine.
