Officina – Cucina Laboratorio was founded in 2016 from an idea by Vittorio Rastelli who, after several significant experiences in the restaurant world, decided to strike out on his own, fully supported by his family, especially his sister Giorgia. While the original plan was to open a bistro, chance—or destiny—led Vittorio to what would become his new home.
A clear change of direction from the past, with a predominantly seafood-driven cuisine that nonetheless embraces land-based dishes, vegetarian options and even gluten-free creations, has brought Officina back to the heart of Civitanova Marche’s fine dining scene.
The venue proudly celebrates its history as a naval workshop for the Italo-Albanian merchant marine. Through a renovation that never loses sight of its roots, Officina is a space where multiple styles and eras coexist in perfect harmony. Modern design furnishings create a carefully balanced contrast with industrial elements such as raw plastered walls; velvet armchairs stand out alongside bare wooden tables topped with brass candelabras.
Officina follows the rhythm of the seasons: around Christmas, festive decorations and evocative details convey the warmth of family and the holiday spirit, while in summer the outdoor lawn takes center stage, welcoming guests beneath a charming canopy of lights overlooking the sea. Service is elegant and attentive__ yet retains a familial warmth that makes it genuinely inviting.
Created with the support of some of the most renowned chefs on the Italian culinary scene, the menu pays tribute to local tradition while embracing fusion influences and glances toward Eastern and extra-European cuisines. The clarity of flavors in the tuna tataki marinated in teriyaki sauce captivates from the very first bite. The journey continues with the delicacy of the warm cuttlefish and squid salad. Chestnut tagliatelle from Montemonaco with Adriatic lobster and porcini mushrooms are pure joy for the palate, while grilled octopus tentacles offer a refined main course that elevates the experience. And there is no shortage of a final indulgence: white chocolate–glazed panna cotta with raspberry purée and caramelized romaine lettuce.
At Officina’s tables, San Benedetto Millennium Water is served, an exceptionally light and pure water with a millennia-old origin, presented in an elegant, refined bottle. Just like the bread and the coffee, the choice of water represents a thoughtful gesture of care toward guests, an attention from Vittorio and his entire team that accompanies the diner from the beginning of the meal to its very end. A perfect synthesis of the restaurant’s philosophy.
At Officina Restaurant, excellence truly feels at home.
